Constructed of a semi-conductive heater polymer(also named as “PTC”) extruded between parallel bus wires with the addition of insulation layer. Suitable for both metal and non-metal piping systems, storage tanks and equipment to provide anti-freeze protection, except for those of of steam purging.

Application

As for the application of electric heat tracing, it may be known that it is the most effective and advanced method to maintain the process temperature of liquid storage medium tanks and infusion pipes for heat tracing, heat preservation, antifreeze and anticoagulation of pipes, valves, pumps, tanks and tank solvents in chemical, electric power, machinery, shipping, petroleum, pharmaceutical and other industries. Electric heat tracing is not only suitable for steam heat tracing places, but also can solve the difficult problems of steam heat tracing.

LSR self regulating heat tracing cable is an exceptional heating cable. In each heat tracing wire, the number of circuits between the busbars varies with the temperature. When the temperature around the electric heat tracing wire becomes cold, the conductive plastic will shrink the micro molecules to connect the carbon particles to form a circuit, and the current will pass through these circuits to heat the electric heat tracing wire.

Characteristics

LSR-J is the basic low temperature heating cable type, with the Max.maintain temperature up to 65℃(149°F), while the Max.exposure temperature is 85℃ (185°F). Generally used in places where there is no explosion-proof or anti-corrosion requirements, and the environmental humidity is not high.

LSR-P/F is enhanced with an additional aluminum-magnesium alloy braid(tinned cooper for option), sheathed by a fluoropolymer out jacket. Compared to LSR-J, it has a good performance on anti-corrosive, also with characteristic of explosion-proof, ideal for places with explosion-proof requirements, especially chemicals, power supply and other places need corrosion resistance.
